Guide for School Board Planning and Results Reporting, Updated November 2004
Contains provincial requirements for public, separate and francophone authority and school three-year plans for 2004/05 to 2006/07 (deadline: June 30, 2004) and results reports on the 2004/05 school year (deadline: November 30, 2005).
Also includes reporting requirements for schools and jurisdictions for November 2004.
The document was updated in September 2004 to include specific information for jurisdictions and schools on reporting on average class sizes, starting with the November 2004 AERR, and for jurisdictions on reporting on professional development, support services for students, and fundraising starting with the November 2005 AERR.
Also, the diploma examination equating schedule (page 58) as well as the provincial results and targets for required measures have been updated (pages 39-42), including clarifying Science 9 results and targets for 2002/03 (pages 39-40) and correcting the overall combined achievement test results for writers on page 40.

Contains provincial requirements for private school authority three-year education plans for 2004/05 to 2006/07 (deadline: June 30, 2004) and results report on the 2004/05 school year (deadline: November 30, 2005).
Requirements apply to funded, accredited private schools that offer a complete elementary, junior high and/or senior high school program.
The document was updated to include the reporting requirements on professional development and support services for students in November 2005.
The diploma examination equating schedule has been revised (page 45) and the provincial results and targets for required measures (pages 27-30) have been updated to include results from 2003/04, a clarification of Science 9 results and targets for 2002/03 (pages 27-28), and correction of the overall combined achievement test results for writers on page 28.

Analysis of School Jurisdiction 2002-2005 Education Plans, November 2003
This report is part of a series of summary reports on school board planning or reporting that over time document the operation and evolution of the Alberta model of accountability for basic education. The report identifies key trends, themes and issues identified in the school boards’ education plans.
Three major themes emerged from this analysis that underlie school board improvement strategies:
- The necessity of diversifying learning opportunities through programming flexibility and alternative delivery methods in order to broadly meet students needs.
- The importance of partnerships and joint initiatives for achieving goals.
- The importance of professional development to support key initiatives
