CTS: Design Studies
The Design Studies strand engages students in the creative process of conceiving, producing and evaluation products,
services and systems in a variety of contexts and situations, with the overall objective of improving the human condition. Areas of study available to students include
two- and three-dimensional design, drafting for design and technical drawing, living environments (environmental, architectural and interior design), and the history and business of design.
Design Studies is just one of 22 strands* in Career and Technology Studies (CTS). For more information on the full group of CTS strands, visit the CTS Curriculum Structure.
*Each CTS "strand" is comprised of a group of 1-credit courses designed to support positive career opportunities for students.
