Post-Secondary Institution Financial Statements

Included here are audited financial statements of Alberta’s public post-secondary institutions – public colleges, technical institutes, universities and The Banff Centre for Continuing Education – in accordance with Section 14 of the Government Accountability Act and section 2(5) of the Financial Administration Act. The post-secondary institutions are governed under the authority of the Post-secondary Learning Act.

These post-secondary institutions are funded in part by government through the provision of operating and capital grants. In addition to receiving grants from the provincial government, these institutions generate revenue from:

  • tuition and other student fees
  • the operation of ancillary services
  • sponsored research funding from provincial and federal agencies and private industry
  • investments and donations
